Since our website is rancorslovetoread.com, it stands to reason that we would have some interest in rancors. Everyone remembers the huge rancor that Luke dealt with in Jabba’s palace, but as I have read my way through the Expanded Universe for the past couple of years I couldn’t help but notice that rancors turn up in the books every once in a while, often in unexpected places. I have decided to keep track of these with a Rancor Spotting each time I see a reference to one. Unfortunately I am beginning my Rancor Spottings after we are already more than two years down the road in the Expanded Universe books, so I have already missed several.
